This year, the talented teens have not let the challenges of lockdown stop them! Our production of Seussical was cancelled but our spirits soared. Even though we couldn't meet in person, we still got together on line.
We continued learning and sharing our passion for the performing arts. Some wrote monologues, some wrote songs. Most of all, we supported each other and learnt some invaluable lessons about the importance of appreciating others efforts and the incredible feeling when you are part of a team.
For the last 35 years we have created a full musical production every year. As soon as we can, we will return to our normal programme so be prepared!
NYTC families need to keep the Easter school holidays free because that's when put on our annual production.
Our second performance for the year normally happens towards the end of the summer term when we showcase our talents and work in smaller groups or on individual projects.
CURRENTLY, WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PERFORM LIVE.
THE SHOW MUST GO ON
Here at NYTC, we think it is important to learn more than just singing, dancing, and acting. Show business is much more than that! We learn invaluable life skills and being resilient and adaptable is powerful. The coronavirus will not stop us from developing our passion to perform.
WE ARE BUSY GETTING EVERYTHING PERFECT FOR WHEN YOU CAN JOIN US AGAIN!
No one is sure when we will be able to perform in front of a live audience again but we won't let that stop us. We are currently working on our new show and hope to bring it the the stage at Easter 2021.
